Guest Discussion starter. #1 · Nov 21, 2018 (Edited by Moderator) When my 2017 Sport HSE has been standing for two or three days without use, I can open the driver's door, or the powered tailgate, then a message flashes up on the display telling me the battery is low and to start the engine. This message is accompanied by a bleep. We've had a similar issue, our diesel Landrover Discovery Sport (2016) ~55k miles and full service history came to a stop driving back through France with no previous warning signs and smoke coming out of the exhaust. Got the car transported to land rover dealer in France who said it was the turbo and needed a turbo and exhaust replacement.

Got a problem with the tailgate on my 2017 discovery sport. The tailgate opened maybe 1/3 of the way and appeared to just stop so i have the dealership have a look and which they recommended the struts to be changed at a pricey £850. I changed these myself and the tailgate still carrying out its usual and only opening 1/3.

We were traveling at low highway speed (50-60mph) when we noticed the vehicle to begin swerving left and right causing the body to pitch dramatically with no response from steering, when the brakes were applied they were unresponsive. 3 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Oct 12, 2021. Service light reset on 2017 Discovery Sport 180d. So I serviced the car yesterday, the 4th year 48k service. All good and an easy job until it came to resetting the service indicator. The process of bonnet open, ignition on, door open, press pedals for a minute will not work. Tried it lots of times.

I did however try to kick the road ice / sludge build up on the left rear wheel well just behind the wheel on the LRDS - the rear hatch opened. Tried a couple of more times and it happened each time. After that I can't reproduce it.
