This is wat worked: plugged in via USB via the 8BitDo wireless adapter for pro controller. Nintendo Switch Pro Controller not working with fortnite. I did what all the videos asked, running the epic games launcher through steam and stuff. It worked for a year or so and than randomly stopped. Now it behaves like a mouse and no controller buttons appear on my screen. If anyone has a fix, thanks.
